The Ojai Garden

Twenty-eight people came to the City of Ojai Community Demonstration Garden Saturday morning to learn the essentials of pruning. Master gardener Charles Duncan spent the first part of the workshop discussing essential tools and explaining their uses. He also demonstrated how to care for pruning tools to keep them in good working condition. After that, the group went out into the garden to watch as Charles demonstrated how to prune a variety of plants. Charles shared many expert tips along the way. Workshop participants got to work trying out what they learned in the hummingbird and sage gardens. All that practice really helped get the garden ready for spring.
