The Ojai Garden

Despite the early morning drizzle, an enthusiastic group of 22 people came out to the City of Ojai Community Demonstration Garden Saturday morning to learn how to make compost. Master gardener Jessica Craven educated and entertained the groupand answered an abundance of questions posed by the aspiring composters.After learning how to make compost and getting a look at the finished product, participants got some hands-on practice sifting compost that had been made at Jessica's compost workshop last December.After that, the group set to work building a new compost pilePhotos by Les Dublin.
