The City of Ojai Community Demonstration Garden welcomed visitors who came to Ojai for the Lavender Festival Saturday. 
Volunteers and the garden coordinator were available to show off the garden's many varieties of fragrant lavender and answer questions.

Despite the early morning drizzle, an enthusiastic group of 22 people came out to the City of Ojai Community Demonstration Garden Saturday morning to learn how to make compost. 
Master gardener Jessica Craven educated and entertained the group
and answered an abundance of questions posed by the aspiring composters.
After learning how to make compost and getting a look at the finished product, participants got some hands-on practice sifting compost that had been made at Jessica's compost workshop last December.
