Ladies at Work
Ladybugs help keep aphids under control in the City of Ojai Community Demonstration Garden.
The collard greens are well stocked with the ladybug's favorite food at this time of year.
If you are not lucky enough to have these helpful beetles visit your garden, a hard blast of water from the hose helps keep aphids in check, too.

lots of ladybugs this year, great to see ... though not quite enough for the aphids on our black kale and collards and broccoli. need to get some more toads to take care of the ants and aphids, and white flies and beetles and whole buggy world at large ...
