Rose Workshop
The first summer workshop in the City of Ojai Community Demonstration Garden was a resounding success. Thirty participants came to the garden to learn how to select and care for roses from Ventura County Master Gardener Program Co-chair Anthony Hepton.
Tony shared many helpful expert pruning and planting tips with the group. Participants learned how to save water and suppress weeds by spreading a four inch thick layer of mulch around roses. They also learned how to use plants like feverfew and cranesbill to attract beneficial insects that keep rose pests at bay.

Could you be more specific about which "cranesbill"?
Thanks.

You raise many queries in my mind; you wrote an excellent article, but this post can also be thought provoking, and I will have to ponder it somewhat more; I will be back soon.
