John Lamar's Low-Flow Irrigation Workshop
Workshop participants, undeterred by gray skies and a chilly morning, learned the basics of low-flow irrigation from John Lamar on Saturday in the City of Ojai Community Demonstration Garden.
Participants had a look at at the Demo Garden's irrigation controller and learned the basic principles of installing and operating a controller at home.
A newly installed bed, demonstrating California native plants that are appropriate for planting near oaks, needed irrigation, and provided the perfect opportunity for the hands-on portion of the workshop.
Participants who wanted to roll up their sleeves and get to work, stayed to help install irrigation in the new bed.
Now that they have had a chance to do it themselves, these county residents will be able to set up their own low-flow irrigation system at home, conserve water and save money, too! Photos by Les Dublin.

Where can I get the full text of the above? It seems the placement of the photos may have covered over some of the text, e.g., the letters p, A, and N appeared up against the right hand corner of photos l, 2, and 4.
