Raiding the Pantry
An Acorn Woodpecker was caught this morning snacking on its winter stash of acorns. It should have plenty to eat this winter, due to this fall's bumper crop. 
The City of Ojai Community Demonstration Garden provides much needed habitat for these woodpeckers, who rely on oaks for food, and other large trees that can be used as graneries. Photo by Les Dublin.
