Compost Workshop with Jessica Craven
Over 40 people came out to the CIty of Ojai Community Demonstration Garden this morning to learn how to make compost.
Expert composter Jessica Craven, a dynamic speaker, kept the crowd entertained as well as informed.
Participants, who brought table scraps, helped create a compost pile.
After the workshop, Jessica modeled her new Demo Garden tee shirt.

Excuse my questions but some text is missing on the monitor:
1) Is that green bucket Jessica is holding intended for kitchen scraps?
2) Is it a recyclable plastic (i.e., PETE 1 or HDPE 2)?
3) If yes, can it be purchased in the Ojai Valley?

That pail belonged to one of the workshop participants, so I can't answer your question. If you don't want to buy plastic, countertop compost pails are available in ceramic, stainless steel, galvanized steel, enameled steel and copper.
