Fall Butterflies

These butterflies, spotted Friday, were sipping nectar in the City of Ojai Community Demonstration Garden's butterfly garden.  The garden's tall butterfly bush (buddleia) is a favorite of hummingbirds as well as butterflies.  Photos by Les Dublin.

A Wet and Wonderful Day for a Workshop

Coyote Bush

Catalina Cherry

This California native (Prunus ilicifolia) provides interest in the landscape with its glossy leaves, white flowers in the spring, and summer fruit.  Catalina cherries are edible, and provide nourishment for wildlife. Photo by Les Dublin.
