Rice Canyon Trail
Wednesday, the day before the rains, we hiked the Rice Canyon Trail Loop, part of the Ventura River - Rancho El Nido Preserve, owned and managed by the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy.
Picking up the trail at the end of Meyer Road down at the river bottom bordered by Meiners Oaks, hikers quickly find themselves in the foothills on a well-maintained trail, surrounded by lush plant-life, oak groves, circling red-tailed hawks and stunning Ojai Valley vistas.
